LED Faucet - Nice Look for Your Kitchen
The kitchen is increasingly a central gathering point in homes. Functionality and design characterize modern kitchen concepts. KWC kitchen faucets are oriented to a wide variety of customer needs and offer matchless functionality along with individual design variations.
The KWC EVE pull-out spray is integrated into the swivel spout and equipped with an LED light ring. Operating the faucets becomes an emotional experience. The light beam is activated with the press of a button. The illuminated stream of water flows into the basin and lights it and the work area in a very effective manner.
KWC EVE is available in chrome finish or stainless steel. Both materials are available with or without the LED light. Power is supplied through a standard CE approved 6,75 -volt power supply.The kitchen faucet is side operated and comes with an elegant, user-friendly lever guaranteeing a high level of comfort.
Demanding designs are always based on careful evaluation processes, market assessments, and marketing strategies. The precise implementation, however, is in the hands of the designer. The Aachen design agency NOA is responsible for the redesign of KWC EVE.
KWC EVE was awarded the international red dot design prize in February 2005.

Glass LED Light
SpaceLight™ SCHOTT Group use modern laser technology to produce minute refractive surfaces inside the body of the glass – without damaging its external surfaces. Because of the way the light is scattered these refractive surfaces appear to the viewer as brightly lit points of fascinating brilliance.
With the use of appropriate software, drawings, lettering, logos and photos can be reproduced with extreme accuracy in the glass, either in the form of a flat image or three-dimensionally.
Lighting the outside edges using different light sources, in particular LED modules in various colors and luminous intensities, causes the internal laser engraving to light up and to produce special effects.
The LightPoints by the same manufacturer, product range comprises transparent glass conductor plates equipped with Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs).
The power supply to the LEDs is provided via virtually invisible conducting paths on the glass. The glass conductor plate is protected by a laminated cover glass.
Coldplay’s “Speed of Sound”
Austin, Texas – 23 May 2005 – Coldplay’s video for its newest single, “Speed of Sound” debuted today—backed up by Versa™ TUBE units from Element Labs. In an unprecedented application, nearly the entire video shoot was done with LED lights from a total of 700 Versa TUBEs. Filmed on a massive sound stage, the video features a delicate, half crescent back wall composed of 640 Versa TUBEs placed on approximately 6” centers. Since the TUBEs were used without diffusion sleeves and the surrounding structure is quite minimal, the lights appear to be suspended in midair.
Production designer Mike Keeling of Project X and director Mark Romanek put together this singular look. “The idea here is having the band on this raw stage and everything is done in silhouette with lighting and key lighting,” Keeling explains. “Once we embarked on it, Mark and I just decided to do the entire video in LED lighting. That was the criterion. I got chills just thinking about it.”
“One of the things that Mark wanted to do was make sure the transition of the LED lighting on the background also replicated what was going on in front,” Keeling adds. “So everything in the front turned out to be a gorgeous, soft front light from the LED source. So we could go no color, we could change it to any color and we could also change it to video feed in the front, which was replicating what we were putting up in the background. Every close-up shot that you see in the video was done with an LED front light. It’s just mind-boggling.”

THE VOS PAD - New Age Lighting in Your Apartment
The state-of-the-art prototype apartment was designed by Marcel Jean Vos as a blueprint for future living. The lighting scheme sets a world precedent by being entirely based on fully dimmable, colour-changing light emitting diodes (LEDs) and demonstrates a comple tely new way of living with light. Decor and mood can be dramatically altered or gently mixed by microprocessor controlled lighting systems.
A custom-built computerised system that operates the lights, blinds and sound levels enables the user to have full ambient control at the touch of a button. Moods can be created instantly with pre-stored settings.
Plasma screens provide a high quality image with excellent colour fidelity. Their narrow profile and elegant design means that they can be placed throughout the home, including bathroom and kitchen as they are waterproof.

The entire apartment comprises white walls that are simply washed with RGB LED bar units recessed in the floor and embedded under glass. Micro aluminum cube wall sconces in the kitchen and lounge provide contrast to the wallwashers and a dramatic effect on the softly illuminated walls and ceilings; they reinforce the sensation of spaciousness and enhance the purity of the surfaces.

Industrial Design Led Lamp
The Aquaphoenix LED Lamp was designed to project an image of solidity and robustness. With and all-metal design and a total weight of 50kg, the LED Lamp does not fail to impress in this respect. All parts are custom-machined from solid aluminum, with the exception of steel rotating joints, gas springs, chrome tubing, and steel screws.
In its most compact position, the structure is dimensioned at 30 cm (12 inches) in width, 58 cm (23 inches) in height, and 69 cm (27 inches) in depth. When fully extended, it can reach up to 91 cm (36 inches) in width having both shades opened to form a 180o angle between them; 114 cm (45 inches) in height when shades are facing the viewer or wall; and 89 cm (35 inches) in depth, extending 46 cm (18 inches) beyond the front of the base. These positions follow the range of possible use cases, including overhead lighting of a desk-space environment, and wall projection for ambient information displays or light projection for sound response.
Overall, the design is intended to create a well-rounded and compact feeling, projecting robustness, while allowing reasonable maneuvering, and portraying mechanical intricacies, while not including extraneous, non-functional design items.
